| Do you know for sure that Jesus Christ is your personal Saviour and that you’re on your way to heaven? |
Being ready to meet God one day face to face is a very serious matter to say the least. It is a condition of life and death. Let us use the Holy Bible (the Holy Scripture) to have a clear understanding of this issue. The Bible is the source and authority on all matters of salvation, Heaven, Hell and Jesus Christ. First, consider these words from the Holy Bible. II Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Now it is time for a self examination in light of the Holy Bible. We will first look at the commands which God gave to man so that he may know how to live and please the Lord. Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 10 Commandments (Make an examination of your life with God’s law) (1) Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Any thing you put ahead of God is your god. (2) Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Any material item that you devote your life to, with affection, time and money may become that graven image you worship more than the true God. (3) Exodus 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. God’s name is Holy and never to be taken irreverently, in jest, or without purpose (in vain) (4) Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Saturday is the true biblical Sabbath, a day of rest, Sunday is the Lord’s day in the Bible, for it is the day that Christ arose from the dead. After the resurrection of Christ in the New Testament on the first day of the week, Sunday. Christians in the book of Acts, till this day, have assembled in the church on Sunday. Sunday in the bible is God’s day – do we honor Him on that day? (5) Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God Giveth thee. Don’t think of this as obeying because honour is greater than obeying, we can obey with a bad spirit and that is dishonoring to our parents. This honour is throughout our entire life. (6) Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. This is taking the life of the innocent and the Lord Jesus Christ said if we hate any one it is the same as murder in His eyes. 1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: (7) Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. This is any intimate relationship outside of marriage (NOT the way God intended it to be) and applies to our thoughts also. Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (8) Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt not steal. If it does not belong to you and you take it, you have stolen it and are a thief. (9) Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. A false witness is a liar – if it is not the truth it is a lie – and Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44) (10) Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s. It is a sin to want and desire things we do not need. Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. When we covet we are saying Christ is not enough and I am not satisfied with Him. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Be honest with yourself because God knows the truth any way. Have you kept all ten of these commandments all of your life? You have given yourself an examination with part of God’s law. Here are two more commandments to apply and in these two are wrapped up all the commands in the entire bible. Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Have you fulfilled these words - II Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Whose law is this, man’s or God’s? If you break man’s law, you answer to man, and when you break God’s law you answer to God. Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Are you guilty of breaking God’s law? Yes - you are guilty. Yes - I am guilty. Yes - all the world is guilty. You and I are what the Bible calls a sinner = Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. All mankind have sinned against God and are sinners. Because we have sinned we will answer to God for it. = Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. This death goes beyond the grave = Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Because we have sinned against God, our sin will separate us from the Lord for ever in Hell. Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. God is without sin. The Lord God is Holy, righteous and perfect. If you died right now in your sins where would you go after death? You cannot go to heaven as a filthy sinner, you cannot even go into God’s presence as a sinner. Sin separates you from God. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Now here is a beautiful truth, God Loves You, God does not want you to go to Hell, it is not His will for you to die and go to hell. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (1 John 4:19 …he first loved us.) Remember these first 7 words in Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; now look at the 2nd half of the verse = but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Did you know that “BUT” was such a great word? This gives us hope and this hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ! Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. We have sinned against God and God put His judgment upon sin, “For the wages of sin is death” – But God loves us so much that He paid for our sin in the death of His own Son, Jesus Christ. Now you have a choice, die in your sin and go to hell or receive Christ as your Saviour and accept His payment for your sin. Revelation 1:5 Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. It is very clear, God wants to save you from a devils hell! Did you know you cannot save your self? Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (It is not what you can do, but what He has already done) No religion or religious works like baptism or sacraments have any Saving power = Psalms 3:8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: From the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ cried out these three words… John 19:30…It is finished: When the Lord said “it is finished” – you cannot add to it nor take away from it. If you believe that you can, you are only saying what the Lord has done was not good enough to pay for your sins. Just believe it. Only what Christ did can save any sinner that comes to Him. John 6:37 .. him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. Do you want to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour? How is it done? It must be done under the following conditions. Do you believe you are a sinner? Do you believe you have sinned against God and will stand before Him to answer for it? Do you believe the penalty upon the sinner is death and then Hell? Do you believe Jesus Christ came and died to save you from the penalty & judgment against you as a sinner? Do believe that God loves you and wants you to be saved? Do you believe that you could never save yourself and need God to do it all? (If these six questions cannot be answered with a yes and without hesitation, then pray that God would clear it up and read this information again from the beginning) Now if you want to be saved and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour, do what the Bible says. Acts 16:31 …Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? Do you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? Then if you believe, you need to call upon Him (which is praying) and tell Him you are a sinner and would like to be saved. Bow your head and tell the Lord in your own words that you would like to receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and be saved from your sins and hell. Don’t read on until you have stopped and prayed in your own words. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hear what one man did in the bible when God said he was justified before God. (Or saved) Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. (This is enough to save your soul) If you need help praying, here is a suggested prayer if you believe what the Bible says about yourself and about God. Get down upon your knees if you can, speak out loud with sincerity and seriousness, the Lord is listening to you. Dear God, I know I am a sinner and on the road to hell. I cannot save myself, I can only look to You for mercy and grace. I now ask the Lord Jesus Christ to be my Saviour. I put all the faith I have in what You did for me. Thank you for saving my soul. In Christ’s name AMEN. If you meant it, you are saved and heaven is really your home. One day you will go there and nothing can ever change that. You are now a child of God! John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: You are now born again! John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Receiving the Lord as your Saviour is being born again into God’s family. You are now saved! Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You called to be saved, and God saves those who call. Being saved, born again or receiving Christ as your Saviour, all mean the same thing. You have done what God requires to be ready to meet Him face to face and go to Heaven. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. God wrote that so you can know it, rejoice you are saved! Please e-mail us and tell us the good news, we would love to send you a King James Bible and a free booklet plus other helpful information.
